Best Places to See Art in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Arts District

Website

Location

What better place to start discovering the Vegas art scene than the famous Las Vegas Arts District? Aptly named, this cultural hub is full of galleries and outdoor murals from many artists. Some of the major venues include the Arts Factory and the Art Square. Make sure to visit the Cockroach Theatre while in the area, featuring everything from the latest stage plays to offbeat rivals of the classics. When you’re not darting between different galleries, you can explore a number of bars and restaurants with tasty food and signature craft cocktails. Initially envisioned in the 1990s, by 2005, the district had won the Best of Las Vegas award. It has expanded far beyond the original 18 blocks planned and has become a key destination for tourists and locals alike. The district is pet-friendly, although some galleries do not allow animals.

Picasso at the Bellagio

Website

Location

What could be better than combining art and food? The Picasso restaurant located inside the famous Bellagio has done just that. You can dine among the stars with an award-winning chef making local and international delicacies at this French restaurant. While you sit down for your meal, you can admire the original works of art that line the walls, including numerous genuine Picassos. And to stay in theme, the restaurant was designed to encapsulate Picasso’s love of France. Book a table and see the incredible works of a legend while you dine. Keep in mind the venue is extremely popular, and reservations are made months in advance.  Check back often, though, and you can still find a few openings at this can’t-miss restaurant.

Metropolitan Gallery and Art Museum Las Vegas

Location

This art gallery opened in 2008 and contains over 20,000 square feet of artwork. There are plenty of art galleries on the Vegas Strip, but this is the only one in Downtown Las Vegas. At the Met LV, local employees’ artwork is regularly exhibited, which can be seen for an additional $5 with a trip to the gallery. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Kush Fine Art

Website

Location

This one-of-a-kind art gallery, located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, allows visitors to see fine art from Vladamir Kush in the form of bronze and silver sculpture, paintings, prints, jewelry, and books. You’ll want to make visiting Caesars Palace a priority to avoid missing this must-see art gallery. It has top ratings from visitors and is open seven days a week. You can learn more about the gallery and its artists on the gallery’s website.

William Carr Gallery

Website

Location

The William Carr Gallery is one of the most unique in Vegas. One of the distinctive elements of Carr’s art is that it lights up magnificently under dim lights. If you inquire, a worker at the gallery will be happy to showcase this effect. The gallery is on Las Vegas Boulevard near ARIA Resort & Casino. It is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., except for Fridays and Saturdays when the gallery closes midday. William Carr is a Vegas local, so it’s not uncommon when visiting the gallery for a meet and greet to be taking place.
