Best Desserts
Sweet tooths, rejoice! With Vegas being home to an unprecedented number of world-class chefs, it’s no surprise that it features some of the most sought-after and extravagant desserts. From tried-and-true classics to specialties you can only get here, these are our favorites when it comes to ordering an after-dinner treat in Vegas.
Pomegranate Honey Cake at Wing Lei
This dessert at Wing Lei is an olive oil cake with vanilla cremeux with a pomegranate coulis and chocolate crumble on the side. What the menu doesn’t say is there is a chocolate tree that ‘grows’ out of the chocolate crumble. It is basically three desserts in one. The cake with the vanilla cremeux bursts with flavors. Then, the pomegranate coulis and chocolate crumble bites are like a second dessert. And then the chocolate tree is a third dessert. There were so many flavors in this one dessert. You have to try it!
Titanic Sundae at Carmine’s
Carmine’s Italian Restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars serves one of the most enormous sundaes you will ever see. The Titanic Sundae features six softball-sized scoops of ice cream served on top of a chocolate torte and topped with fruit, hot fudge, whipped cream, hazelnuts, and cookie smokestacks.
Giant Fortune Cookie at Tao Asian Bistro
Another indulgence to add to your Las Vegas dessert list is the Giant Fortune Cookie at Tao Asian Bistro in The Venetian. This fortune cookie is filled with white and dark chocolate mousse and topped with fresh fruit and risqué fortunes.
Other mouth-watering desserts at Tao include:
- Molten chocolate cake
- Potted carrot cake
- Various ice creams and sorbets
- Assorted dessert wines
- And more
Lemon Ricotta Cookies at Pronto by Giada
Pronto by Giada is a great option for Italian if you’re in a hurry, serving breakfast, lunch, and an early dinner. But dessert lovers can’t miss Giada De Laurentiis’s famous Lemon Ricotta Cookies.
These cookies, served with a melt-in-your-mouth lemon glaze, can be ordered in sets of 3. Other delicious desserts at Pronto include gelatos and sorbets in various flavors and a variety of cakes sold by the slice.
Open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside Caesars Palace, Pronto offers both dine-in and take-out.
Lobster Tails at Carlo’s Bakery
Fans of TLC’s Cake Boss are sure to recognize the world-famous Carlo’s Bakery. The Las Vegas location of Carlos’ Bakery sits across from Buddy V’s restaurant in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. And with over a century’s old recipe, The Lobster Tail pastries are a must-order!
Don’t be fooled by the name – Lobster Tails are a custard-folded pastry filled with French cream and topped with whipped cream. No seafood here!
Carlo’s Bakery also serves fantastic fresh cannolis, cookies, and plenty of cakes. These delectable desserts are the perfect complement to a hearty Italian dinner.
Sticky Toffee Pudding by Gordon Ramsay
World-famous chef Gordon Ramsay’s Sticky Toffee Pudding is so popular three of his five restaurants in Las Vegas feature the dessert. You can enjoy this pudding at:
- Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas
- Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace
- Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace
Ramsay also offers variations of the Sticky Toffee Pudding at his other two restaurants
- Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood – Sticky Toffee Pudding Ice Cream Sandwich
- Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips at the Linq Promenade – Sticky Toffee Shake and Sticky Toffee Pudding Pops
With celebrity chefs come famous desserts, and Vegas has no shortage of either. From giant fortune cookies to Lobster Tails, you won’t want to miss these desserts in Las Vegas.
Bananas Foster Flambe at Barry’s Downtown Prime
You have to ask for it! You won’t find it on the menu of Barry’s Downtown Prime, but this bananas foster flambe with ice cream is probably the best foster we have ever had, and may be the best dessert on the Strip – if you like bananas.
The flambe portion of the dessert preparation is done table side so you get quite the show watching the fire. The sweetness and burnt taste of the bananas and the banana bread is on point and the ice cream used is a fantastic complement.
Maple Bacon Donut at Duck Donuts
Located in the back of the Grand Bazaar Shops at the Horseshoe on the Strip, the rubber duck-themed chain Duck Donuts offers made-to-order gourmet donuts. The toppings aren’t placed on the donut until you order.
If you don’t keep kosher, you will love the maple bacon donut – a cakey, glazed donut with a maple glaze with a sprinkling of bacon.
Other ‘fan favorite’ donuts include chocolate covered strawberry, cinnamon bun, peanut butter and jelly and blueberry lemonade.
