Even though Vegas is in the desert, it has an abundance of great sushi places. Maybe that is because the fish had to swim extra far or maybe it is all of the great sushi chefs that train at Strip restaurants!
Rather than providing an exhaustive list of mediocre AYCE sushi places like you might find elsewhere (there are a lot of mediocre ones in Vegas), we focused on the best ones in different parts of town.
All You Can Eat Sushi
Sakana
Location: 3949 S. Maryland Pkwy near UNLV about ten minutes east of The Strip
Hours: Everyday 11:00 am – 12:00 am
Sakana opened in 2013, and quickly grew in popularity – especially since college students at nearby UNLV love a deal. But people who work on the East side of The Strip love it as well, and it has become one of, if not, the top AYCE spots in town. Another reason it is good is that it is operated by the same group as Sushi Neko.
Sakana has a la carte, but basically functions as strictly an AYCE restaurant with some premium options. Standard pricing starts at $29.95 for dinner, with lunch prices starting lower.
Menu highlights include:
- Salmon belly
- Super white tuna
- Yellowtail
- Red snapper
- Garlic tuna
Many prefer their sushi and nigiri over the rolls.
They are vegetarian and vegan friendly. And, if you are coming with a non-sushi eater, note that Sakana has enough items other than raw fish to keep that person satisfied.
Due to its popularity, expect a wait at peak hours. Also, leave extra time to allow for parking at peak hours as it is rather limited.
Oyshi Sushi
Location: One location in the Southwest and one location about 15 minutes west of The Strip
Hours: Monday – Thursday 11:30 am – 11:00 pm, Friday – Saturday 11:30 am – 11:30 pm, Sunday 11:30 am – 10:30 pm
With two Las Vegas locations, Oyshi Sushi has become well-known by westsiders for its premium all-you-can-eat sushi for lunch and dinner.
The standard prices are $27.99 for lunch and $32.99 for dinner, but many discounts are available.
It’s vegetarian-friendly. Each location has private rooms for parties of six or more.
Premier Tip: Save room for the tiramisu.
Umami
Location: 6640 N. Durango Dr in the Northwest
Hours: Everyday 11:30 am – 12:00 am
Umami, which was recently remodeled, is one of Las Vegas’ favorite Japanese fusion restaurants – especially for those in The Northwest. Its food is hard to rival with the rolls bursting with fish. Fan favorites are the oysters, clams, octopus, salmon belly, eel, and uni – all perfectly seasoned. Another reason it is good is that it is operated by the same group as Sushi Neko and Sakana.
The all-you-can-eat menu is $25.95 for lunch and $29.95 in the evenings. Discounts are available during certain times.
Premier Tip: This sushi place is no secret so be prepared to wait at peak times or go during off-peak times.
Sushi Hero
Location: 10100 S. Eastern Ave #130 in Henderson
Hours: Monday – Thursday 11:30 am – 9 pm, Friday – Saturday 11:30 am – 10 pm, Sunday 12 pm – 9 pm
Sushi Hero is a traditional Japanese-style sushi bar. It features one of the most extensive all-you-can-eat sushi menus in Las Vegas – nearly three pages of deep-fried, baked, and no-rice rolls. It offers a la carte as well.
The rolls with salmon as well as the salmon nigiri are incredibly good. In addition, the yakisoba noodles are a treat. The AYCE menu is $33 for dinner and less for lunch.
Yama Sushi
Location: The main location is at 3049 Las Vegas Blvd South in the shopping center to the north of Wynn/Encore and across the street from Resorts World. There are other locations in Chinatown and by UNLV.
Hours: Everyday 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
Let us be clear. Yama Sushi doesn’t have the best AYCE sushi in town (or even close to it), but we believe it is your best AYCE option if you are staying on the central or northern part of The Strip at Wynn/Encore, Circus Circus, Resorts World or Fontainebleau.
Some favorites are the hamachi kama, roe and uni.
Its base price is $35.95. A la carte options are available.
ITs Sushi
Location: The main location is at 4815 W. Spring Mountain Rd in Chinatown (there is another location in The Southwest)
Hours: Everyday 11:30 am – 2:00 am
We believe that ITs Sushi, which opened in 2021, is the best AYCE sushi place in Chinatown…and that is saying something!
As odd as this sounds, don’t skip the miso soup and skewers. Other favorites are the baked scallops, octopus nigiri and salmon belly nigiri. The rolls are decent – not incredible.
We also like this place because of the effort that they put into the Tokyo-streetscape decor.
Its base price is $34.95. A la carte options are available.
Sushi Neko
Location: The main location is at 5115 W. Spring Mountain Rd #117 in Chinatown
Hours: Everyday 11:00 am – 12:00 am
If ITs Sushi is the 1A best AYCE sushi place in Chinatown, then Sushi Neko is the 1B best AYCE sushi place in Chinatown.
The nigiri here is super fresh and the rolls are great. One unique feature is their baked sushi rolls.
This location has an upbeat ambience with occasional DJs.
