Red Rock Climbing Center (R2C2)

Red Rock Climbing Center (R2C2) is an excellent spot for practicing bouldering and tuning your skills for challenging routes. It’s a popular gym, especially for experienced climbers, so it’s often more crowded than others.
There are four levels to practice climbing on, and employees regularly map new routes for climbers to try. There are 9,000 square feet of climbing space – including roof routes – with up to 35-foot walls. Shoe, chalk, and harness rentals are $5 each, or you can rent all three for $10. You can also rent outdoor shoes for $10.
R2C2 is the most challenging of the climbing gyms in Vegas. They offer classes and outdoor climbing guides in Red Rock if you’re ready to climb to the next level. Check out their group rates if you want to climb with buddies.
The Pad Climbing

Henderson’s climbing gym – The Pad – is great for bouldering and beginners. Employees are happy to show you the ropes. Plus, you don’t have to make an appointment!
Shoes, chalk bags, and harnesses (if you’re rope certified) are free with the day pass. You also get access to their gym and weights area. It’s a 22,000-square-foot space, with walls averaging 35 feet high and bouldering areas averaging 17 feet tall.
The Pad prides itself on building a community space. It’s a great option if you’re looking to get involved in the local rock-climbing community. They also have an early bird price of $15 for climbers before 4 pm.
Nevada Climbing Center

Nevada Climbing Center is by far the best gym in Vegas for beginners and Las Vegas’ longest-running climbing center. It’s one of the most welcoming climbing spots in the Valley. They have a variety of themed nights and classes for beginners, lead climbing, aerial silks, and more.
Visitors can rent shoes and harnesses for $5 each or $8 together. Nevada Climbing Center makes climbing easy with a partner belaying you – especially for new climbers – and helps prepare you well for outdoor climbs. This gym gets less busy than others, so it is easier to explore different walls.
