Best Places to Watch the Game
Sometimes, the best way to beat the heat is to watch a game of ice hockey. Las Vegas is home to three main hockey teams: Golden Knights (NHL), Silver Knights (AHL), UNLV Rebel Hockey (College).
Check out the best places to watch hockey in Las Vegas:
T-Mobile Arena
Home to the Vegas Golden Knights, the T-Mobile Arena is where you can watch pro games in the flesh. The arena has a buzzing atmosphere throughout the hockey season, sure to fill you with adrenaline. The main hockey season runs from October to April, not including playoffs, if the team makes it. Details on the Golden Knight’s schedule – who and when they’re playing – throughout the season are on the NHL website.
Premier Tip: If you are on the strip and walking to the T-Mobile Arena, The Park east of the stadium is your best bet into the tailgating and arena entrance.
City National Arena
City National Arena
For college hockey matches, City National Arena is the place to be. UNLV Rebel Hockey plays games at the arena most weekends during the school year. City National is also home to Golden Knights practice sessions, which are sometimes open to the public. The arena also hosts several amateur leagues, so the schedule is subject to change. Check Rebel Hockey’s home schedule for games and visit the City National Arena website for the most up-to-date information on Golden Knights’ practices and public skating opportunities.
